Warthog driven hunt in South - Africa
RH safaris, is a family owned hunting outfitter with our primary area situated in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. Rhenosterhoek Private Reserve offers the vast expanses of Southern African grasslands and the rich biodiversity of the famed Nama Karoo. We offer classic hunts in the last wild bastions of Southern Africa. With more than two decades of experience, our Professional Hunting Guides have all bases covered.
The Rhenosterhoek Lodge is fully equipped with luxury accommodation which is hard to leave, even for the excitement of the hunt. The lodge consists of 3 King ensuite rooms, 2 Queen ensuite rooms and one dual single bed ensuite room.
During the past years we have successfully hosted various Hunting groups for this format. For warthog hunts, we operate comfortably for up to 8 hunters,
accommodated in five luxury double bed rooms(double beds), and one single bed room (two single beds), sharing. All rooms have bathrooms on suite.
We prefer to hunt warthog with two hunters per PH assigned to a Land Cruiser hunting vehicle, shooting off the vehicles, walk and stalk ,and walk-up shots/rough style shooting.
For a four day hunt, the guests will arrive on day one, meet and greet from Bloemfontein and drive the 2h30 transfer to Rhenosterhoek by shuttle. They will all be taken to our range after lunch to shoot in.
Four hunting days will follow (days two-five). Departure will be after breakfast on day six, with the shuttle returning them to Bloemfontein.
The hunters( depending how accomplished they are) can expect to shoot 20 – 25 warthog per team of two on a vehicle, per day. All warthog can be hunted, trophies are billed separately at trophy prices.
