The order of hunting in Hungary
To insure a successful hunt, hunters are obliged to follow the personal guide’s instructions. Hunters may only and exclusively bag games which have been identified and allowed to shoot at by the personal guide. In case of shooting a protected animal the nature conservation value will be included in the penalty to be paid by the hunter.
The trophy of a bagged animal is the hunter’s possession, however, he will have to pay for the meat and the skin, if he wants to take them away.
If a wounded game is found later dead, at the final accounting the sum of the fee paid for wounding will be deducted from the shooting price of the trophy.
In Hungary, hunters have to submit each trophy to the judgement committee of the local hunting inspectorate.
The judgement committee of the country hunting inspectorate is authorised to declare trophies with higher international credit as national assets. In this case the trophy will remain in the possession of the Hungarian State. The hunter is to pay 25 % of the price of shooting and receives a copy of the trophy.
Hunters are obliged to accept 15 % tolerance by stating the trophy weight in contract. If the difference is bigger the hunter, the hunting ground and I shall come to agreement.
The guest hunter is obliged to pay for all services given to him on the hunting-ground and for all shots which shall be registered on the shooting list and shall be acknowledged by the guest hunter and the leader of the hunt by signing.
In accordance with the Hungarian hunting regulation each hunter is allowed to participate in the hunt with his / her own shooting weapon.
Each foreign hunter must posess a hunter’s liability insurance before the hunt begins and each foreign hunter shall have a valid hunting license.
All other points unforseen in the contract and its supplements will be regulated according to the Hungarian Law.
A firearms import licence is not necessary for EU citizens as stated in the New York Agreement. Firearms are allowed accompanied by a European Firearms Certificate.
An invitation, written by me must accompany the firearms. It is not necessary to declare the firearms at the border, you can simply drive through. At airports, however, firearms will be strictly controlled.
To export trophies the paid invoice and trophy document are necessary, should there be a control by customs.
Transport of Arms and Ammunition
Arms and ammunition must be transported separately. In public areas, towns, hotels, restaurants etc. and in vehicles arms may only be carried unloaded and in a gun case.
On Airplanes: The firearms must be transported in a stable gun case, the ammunition in its original box - max. 5 kg - in a separate case which must be checked in. Several airlines require that the bolt is removed from your rifle and transported separately but not in your hand luggage. It is recommended to take the rifle scope off your rifle, to wrap it well and put in the gun case. Please note! Some airlines refuse to carry firearms. Please check with the airline before booking. Foreign guests are not allowed to give his/her firearms or ammunition to other persons.

The trophy price of moufflon is calculated by taking the middle length of both horns, wild boar by the average length of both tusks along the outside edge.
All trophies belong to me or the hunting organisation until they have fully been paid for. Unless other arrangements have been made, trophies will not be delivered or handed over until the full hunting and trophy costs and any shipping or postal costs have been paid.
When we receive your written (post, fax or e-mail) booking we will draw up a contract, which includes the game species, dates, hunting area, board and lodging, price and other conditions. Only when you sign the copy of the contract and this signed copy has been received by me and the required deposit has also been received is the booking binding for both parties.
