The hunting area is located on the border of the Csongrád County and Békés County. It is typically a small game hunting area with a significant population of small game and roe deer.Thanks to summer watering sites and winter feeding, there is a large population of wild pheasants in the area, which can be supplemented with farm-raised birds if necessary. Brown hares are also present in large numbers, especially on the grasslands that partly extend into areas of the national park. For larger hunting groups, it is not uncommon to harvest up to 100 hares per day.
