The approximately 3,000-hectare hunting area of Bodony is nestled in the natural beauty of the Mátra Mountains and is located about 80 minutes by car northeast of the Hungarian capital, Budapest. Château Mátra offers a wide range of hunting opportunities thanks to the abundance of game in the area – from driven and walk-up hunts to stand hunting and stalking, all tailored to your individual wishes and interests.
The hunting area is widely known for its large-scale pheasant shoots, where guest hunters can experience strong, high-flying pheasants in diverse, hilly terrain with valleys and slopes. The quality of the hunting is also reflected by the fact that members of European royal families have already hunted here.
Prices: 39 € / pheasant
The estate provides loaders (gun assistants) for each shooter. The number is agreed with the hunter at the end of the drive. The total agreed number of shot pheasants serves as the basis for billing. If the hunting group does not require loaders, the number of pheasants will be calculated by increasing the actual bagged number by 10%.
Daily rate: 350 € / person / day
THE DAILY RATE INCLUDES:
- Transfer by minibus from the airport to the hunting lodge and back
- Accommodation and full board at Bodony Hunting Castle (including four meals per day and unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages)
- Participation fee including full hunting organization (loaders, beaters, assistants)
- 1 personal loader per hunter (also assisting with carrying equipment, retrieving game, etc.) and the required hunting dogs
- Daily transfers between accommodation and hunting grounds
- Off-road vehicles (4x4) or minibus within the hunting area
- Pre-assigned, numbered shooting stands with a rotation system during driven hunts
