Fallow buck hunting in South - Hungary (Bucks around 3,0 - 4,0 kg)

Size of the field: 5.200 ha
Accommodation: in hunters lodge (I.class)
Average size of the trophies: 3,5 – 5 kg
The Gyula hunting area, covering 5,206 hectares, is primarily known for its fallow deer population. On the Great Plain, the contiguous forest area of Gyula is unique—on approximately 11,000 hectares, a free-ranging fallow deer population has been living here for several centuries.
A large part of the hunting ground consists of floodplain forests along rivers, which represent exceptional natural value. This area is home to one of the most genetically outstanding fallow deer populations in Hungary. More than 50% of the harvested stags carry medal-class trophies.
Due to the centuries-long isolation of the Gyula population, a characteristic phenotype has developed, which is clearly recognizable, among other things, in the trophy features. The hunting method is also special—it is the traditional experience of classic carriage hunting.
Hunting guests are accommodated in the Sarkad-Remetei guesthouse, located in the center of the hunting area.
