The typical agricultural fields and meadows are broken by orchards, vineyards and smaller planted forests composed mostly of robinia and poplar. All these and the vegetation growing wild on the place of deserted houses and gardens of former prospering farms offer an ideal habitat for roe deer. The bagged trophies weight generally 300 to 450 g. However, the average weight of antlers can be different from that, in some parts of the preserve along the Tisza near Szeged, where the soil is less sandy and therefore the vegetation is richer, trophies can be even heavier. About 5.300 roe deer are bagged yearly, including more than 2.100 roebucks.

As regards accommodation, we offer you various guest houses, smaller pensions and even hotels with extended services. The famous Hungarian “puszta” offers many sights. We recommend you definitely to enter the visitor center in Szeged where you can become acquainted with the typical animals of the Hungarian “puszta”, with the habits and lifestyle of the people living here and not at least with the traditional foods.

Wounding: 50 % oft he shooting price based on the estimated weight of the trophy.
