Red stag hunting in West - Hungary near Sárvár

The area is well forested, more than 50% is mainly covered with deciduous forests. The forests, together with the reedy, bushy riparian forests along the Rába (Raab), offer good living conditions for red deer and wild boar. Not only the state forestry reserves, but also some private and hunting cooperative reserves in the area - e.g. in Sárvár, Káld or Vasvár, Körmend, maintain serious, exemplary game management. The red deer population is not only dense, but also strong in terms of trophies: antler weights during the rut can be expected to be around 6-9 kg on average, but in certain, well-maintained deer areas, red deer are often hunted with a trophy weight of 10 kg or more. If you want to hunt a strong or big red deer not far from the Austrian border, we would recommend the Sárvár area with a clear conscience. 

Concerning accommodation, many private pensions, guest houses and hotels of good quality are available. We recommend you the health resort and spa of Sárvár, if you would like to connect hunting with holiday.

Wounding: 50 % of the shooting price based on the estimated weight of the trophy.

Discount: After 15.October, there is a discount of 10 % for shooting a stag.
