The are is partly hilly and partly mountainous. The meadows offer excellent rutting stands. Hunting is carried out stalking in the forest. The high-quality red deer herd living here forms an ecological unit with that of Ormánság and Béda-Karapancsa. The world record - at the time - antler was shot in Karapancsa in 1986, with 271.00 C.I.C. points and with 14.95 kg. The migration of red deer to Bellye in Croatia is equally significant. The excellent management for the herd of red deers living in this area, could be supported by the fact that the biggest trophy in Hungary, a red deer with a trophy weight of 14.83 kg was shot here in 2016.
