Tusker hunting with bow in South - Hungary (fenced area)

Magyarország Kelebia

Size of the field: 620 ha

Area: fenced area

Game species: wild boar, female deer

The 620-hectare wild boar enclosure is located in southern Hungary, between the Danube and Tisza, near the Hungarian-Serbian border. 97.3% of the hunting area, which lies on the characteristic sandy soil of the plains, is predominantly covered with acacia, poplar and pine forests. Since the surface is flat and precipitation quickly penetrates the sandy soil, driving into the hunting area can be solved without any problems in any weather conditions. The wild boar forms the basis of the game population. The annual wild boar movement is between 400 and 500, of which 150-200 are 3-5 year old tuskers. During carefully organized, high-level driven hunts, it is not uncommon for around 100-140 wild boars to be shot, the average weight of the killed wild boar reaching 90-100 kg each. During driven hunts, guest hunters hunt from a safe, high shooting position accompanied by experienced professional hunters.

Location: Tompa hunting lodge, in a quiet forest environment.
